The peculiarity of colorful and richness of Sicilian baroque, is brought to its best expression in the inlaid marbles of the churches belonging to the different religious orders or in the unique stucco decoration showing the skill of Giacomo Serpotta in his oratories. From the top roof of the convents we can see Palermo from the same point of view of the cloistered nuns, obliged not to participate to the everyday life and most of the time dedicating themselves to the production of pastries or embroideries works.
